F**k bad taste. Here’s the fix.

Industry Challenges

We constantly see consumers complaining about the flavor performance of vape products. Some say their brand-new 510 cartridges taste burnt right out of the box, others notice a burnt taste halfway through a puff, and many report that the flavor drops off once the vape is halfway used.
When this happens, consumers assume the brand is sucks. They complain online, tell their friends not to buy the product again, and ultimately the brand’s reputation and customer base take the hit.

We recognized this issue years ago. In many cases, the problem isn’t the product itself. Any reputable brand performs extensive testing—including flavor testing—before launching a device. But as we all know, distillate, live resin, live rosin, and other extracts each require different vaporization temperatures[^1] to deliver their best flavor. This is especially true for high-terpene extracts[^2] like live resin and live rosin, which burn easily at higher temperatures.

The problem is, most consumers don’t understand this. They’ll use your cartridge with a random 510 battery they bought who-knows-where, and you have no control over whether they’re using it at a low voltage or cranking it up way too high.

And if you think switching to disposables solves this problem, the answer is no.
Most disposables on the market use constant-power output[^3], but the temperature is far from constant, from the first second of a puff to the end of it, the coil temperature continues to rise. some oils simply cannot withstand a continuous increase in temperature, resulting in a burnt taste. On the other hand, a constant power output can make the flavor drop off a lot once the oil level gets about halfway down — because a large amount of concentrate starts to carbonize and build up on the coil.

Creating a Truly Simple Product

As Steve Jobs once said, “The point is that even an idiot could use it.

To help our clients reduce customer complaints and to give consumers a consistently better vaping experience, we decided to build a product that even complete beginners can use correctly—without thinking about voltage, wattage, or settings.

We spent two years developing and testing the technology, and another two years validating it in the market. In 2023, we officially launched it: Nutun Technology[^4].

Although many major brands are already using our technology, there are still many others who either haven’t heard of it or haven’t fully discovered how powerful it really is.

At the core of Nutun is tailored power output designed specifically for different types of oil. This ensures every user enjoys the best possible flavor while reducing burnt hits caused by improper temperature settings. The result is a better overall user experience and a stronger brand reputation.
Whether it’s a disposable or a 510 cartridge, we can ensure the device performs exactly as you intended. Yes—you heard that right. Even a 510 cartridge can have intelligent, chip-controlled output, and currently, Transpring is the only company capable of doing this.

What About Cost?

It’s true—new technology usually means higher costs. But with how competitive the North American cannabis market has become, and with margins constantly shrinking, our goal is to provide the highest-value vape hardware possible.

We’ve been continually optimizing Nutun technology to keep costs as low as possible.
Today, aside from a slight price increase for Nutun-enabled 510 cartridges, we can integrate Nutun into disposables at no extra cost.

If you’re dealing with any of these issues, it’s time to talk to us:

  • Frequent customer complaints about burnt taste or poor flavor
  • Large-volume vapes that lose flavor halfway through
  • Dual-flavor vapes needing different temperature profiles
  • Products that need a smoother, more layered flavor experience

If you have ideas, challenges, or projects you want to explore, we’d love to collaborate. We have plenty of practical solutions and innovative approaches to share.
